Having grown up in the scenic surroundings of Asheville, Dr. Rentz pursued his undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University, where he discovered his passion for dentistry. His educational journey continued with a DDS degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, equipping him with the expertise to provide comprehensive dental care.

Returning to his roots, Dr. Rentz is thrilled to call Mars Hill home and serve the local community. Outside the dental office, he shares a happy life with his wife, Casey, and together, they enjoy spending time outdoors, cooking, and creating cherished memories with family.

Dr. Rentz’s goal is to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of every patient throughout their dental journey, helping them to achieve and maintain a healthy smile.

Meet Dr. Lawrence McArdle, a dedicated professional with a rich history in the field of dentistry. Married for 26 years to Jerome McArdle, she is a proud parent of two accomplished children, John and Gwen.

Currently residing in Weaverville with her husband and two dogs, Dr. Lawrence finds joy in gardening, cooking, and exploring the scenic hiking trails of the mountains. Her family-oriented lifestyle is evident in the close-knit bond they share.

Dr. Lawrence’s academic journey led her to Temple University, where she studied dentistry and graduated in 1996. Prior to that, she earned a degree in Biology from Moravian University in 1992. With a solid educational foundation, she embarked on a successful 20-year career, owning her dental practice in eastern PA, nestled between Philadelphia and Manhattan. In 2020, she made the decision to sell her business and relocate to Weaverville.

Motivated by the empty nest syndrome and a desire for a change of pace, Dr. Lawrence, along with her husband Jerome, now enjoys the serenity of mountain living closer to nature. Her love for dentistry is unwavering, and she thrives on the diverse aspects of her profession. From basic restorations to root canals, extractions, and even orthodontics, Dr. Lawrence brings years of experience to the table.

Dr. Lawrence’s commitment to dentistry extends beyond her role as a dentist. Having worked as a dental assistant, dental hygienist, and dental administrator, she appreciates the intricacies of every position in the dental office. Surprisingly, she considers being the dentist as the easiest job in the office, a testament to her passion, expertise, and genuine love for her work.
